潘汉耀,1988 年生于新加坡,原籍广东番禺。新加坡南洋理工大学中文系荣誉学士,获教育学专业文凭。曾任中学华文教师十二年,现任中正总校书法与国画驻校导师。现任新加坡狮城书法篆刻会理事、新加坡啸涛篆刻书画会理事、中正中学校友会理事。中学时期,于中正总校师从书法启蒙导师书画篆刻家张有铄先生学习篆隶楷行书及篆刻,其后自学不辍。大学时期,于南洋艺术学院师从水墨画启蒙导师陈世集先生学习彩墨花鸟山水画,并随水墨画家林家雄先生学习水墨大写意花鸟画,后师从书画篆刻家曾纪策先生学习彩墨小写意花鸟画。曾多次受邀现场挥毫、为活动嘉宾题写书法纪念品、于多所院校举办书法工作坊、担任多场全国书画比赛评判。书画作品常展于国内外书画展。2012、2013 年获两届“布莱德岭全国现场书法比赛”(公开组)第二名。2016 年获《联合早报》“字述一年”全国书法比赛(公开组)第一名。2016、2017 年获两届“韩中新世界书法文化艺术大展”(成人组)金奖。2016、2018 年获第一届及第二届“林子平美术奖比赛”(公开组)一等奖及特别奖。2019 年参与《好古抚今》三人书画联展。2022 年举办《翰墨畅怀》个人书画展。

Poon Han Yaw was born in Singapore in 1988, originating from Panyu, Guangdong. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Chinese from Nanyang Technological University and a Post-graduate Diploma in Education. He served as a secondary school Chinese teacher for twelve years and is currently the Art instructor-in-residence (Calligraphy and Chinese Painting) at Chung Cheng High School (Main). He also serves as a committee member of the Shicheng Calligraphy and Seal-carving Society, Siaw-Tao Seal-carving, Calligraphy and Painting Society and The Alumni of Chung Cheng High School.During his secondary school years at Chung Cheng High School (Main), he studied under Mr.   Teo Yew   Yap  a  Calligraphy,  Chinese  painting   and seal-carving   artist, learning seal script, clerical script, regular script, running script and seal carving, and has  continued  to  study  independently  ever  since.  While  at  university,  he  studied coloured ink painting of birds-and-flowers and landscapes under Mr. Tan Tee Chie at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, and later studied ink painting under Mr. Lim Kay Hiong, as well as coloured ink painting under Mr. Tan Kee Sek, Calligraphy, Chinese painting and seal-carving artist.He has been invited multiple times to perform live calligraphy demonstrations, inscribe calligraphic   works   for   event   guests,   conduct   calligraphy   workshops   at   various institutions and also served as a judge for several National Calligraphy and Painting competitions. His works have been frequently exhibited both locally and overseas.
In 2012 and 2013, he won second place (Open Category) in the Braddell Heights National Calligraphy Competition for two consecutive years. In 2016, he won first place (Open   Category)   in   Lianhe   Zaobao’s   “A   Year   in   Words”   National   Calligraphy Competition. In 2016 and 2017, he received Gold Award (Adult Category) in the The World Calligraphy Itinerant Grand Exhibition for two consecutive years. In 2016 and 2018, he won First Prize and Special Award (Open Category) in the 1st and 2nd Lim Tze  Peng   Art   Prize   Competition.   In   2019,  he   participated   in   the   “Embracing   the Ancient, Reflecting the Present” Trio Calligraphy and Chinese Painting exhibition. In 2022, he held his Solo Calligraphy and Chinese Painting exhibition “Unrestrained Ink and Brush”.
